Graciela González - Artist
BIO
​
Peruvian artist, writer, and researcher based in Chicago, with a BFA in Creative Writing at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Working across performance, sculpture, video, writing, and sound, my practice explores themes of immigration, labor, and alienation, particularly as they shape the lived experiences of immigrants within the U.S. Through site-responsive and politically engaged work, I investigate the immigrant body’s relationship to landscape, memory, and systemic violence. My projects often take the form of sculptural performances, sonic interventions, and poetic texts that question how histories are constructed and embodied.

Alongside my artistic work, I have curated research-based projects in Lima focused on human rights, education, and state policy, using artistic practice as a method of critical inquiry and collective reflection.
